Iboga & Ibogaine Training for Mental Health Practitioners

A six-day professional retreat in Costa Rica combining clinical education with a personal self-mastery experience.

Medically supervised Completely confidential Costa Rica

Places cannot be booked directly. Every participant completes a consultation and a medical screening before a place is confirmed.

Your clients are already asking about this.

Psychedelic-assisted therapy has moved from the margins into your consulting room. Clients arrive having read the research, having booked a retreat abroad, or having already been. They ask what you think, and the honest answer is often that your training never covered it.

Reading the literature gets you part of the way. What it cannot give you is the experiential understanding that lets you prepare someone properly, recognise what they are describing afterwards, and hold the integration work that determines whether any of it lasts.

  • Clients disclosing psychedelic use you weren't trained to assess
  • Referral requests you have no framework for evaluating
  • Uncertainty about preparation, screening, and contraindications
  • Integration work arriving in your practice without a map
  • A gap between the research you've read and the experience you've had
  • Wanting your own self-mastery work, not only professional knowledge

What This Retreat Is — and Isn't

You will assess this the way you assess any professional training: what it covers, who delivers it, and what it entitles you to claim afterwards.

Education and experience together

The programme combines taught content on iboga and ibogaine-assisted therapy, screening, preparation and integration with a personal self-mastery experience under supervision.

Not a certification or licence

This retreat is professional development, not an accreditation. It does not license or certify you to administer iboga or ibogaine, and it does not extend your scope of practice.

A peer cohort

You will be among psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychotherapists, coaches and addiction professionals — colleagues working through the same questions from adjacent disciplines.

The same process as any participant

Attending as a professional does not change the process. Your own consultation and screening are completed before a place is confirmed, on the same basis as everyone else.

The personal component involves the medicine itself, so your own health history and medications are discussed on the consultation call as they would be for any participant. Learn more about the medicine.

Who This Retreat Is For

Psychologists, psychiatrists and psychotherapists
Counsellors and licensed mental health clinicians
Addiction professionals and recovery coaches
Healthcare practitioners and referral partners

If you are weighing this against other professional training, bring those questions to the consultation. A straight comparison serves you better than a brochure.

Questions Practitioners Ask

Does this carry CE credits or any formal accreditation?+
This retreat is offered as professional development rather than accredited continuing education. If you require formal CE credit for licensure, confirm your board's requirements before booking — we would rather you know in advance than be disappointed.
Do I take the medicine myself, or only observe?+
The programme includes a personal self-mastery experience alongside the taught content. That experiential component is central to the purpose of the retreat rather than an optional extra.
Will this qualify me to facilitate iboga or ibogaine work?+
No. This retreat deepens your understanding and gives you direct experience, but it does not certify, license, or otherwise qualify you to administer iboga or ibogaine to clients.
Can I refer clients to Revela afterwards?+
Many attendees come as prospective referral partners. How that relationship works is best discussed directly rather than assumed — raise it during your consultation.
Are there health conditions or medications that would affect my participation?+
Because the programme includes a personal experience, your own health history and medications are reviewed on the consultation call, and some do affect eligibility. It is the same conversation every participant has.
Is my attendance confidential?+
Yes. We do not disclose participant information, including to colleagues or professional bodies. What you share within the cohort stays within it.

Bring Your Professional Questions

The consultation is a conversation between colleagues. Ask about curriculum, structure, and what this does and does not qualify you to do.
