Professional Development
Iboga & Ibogaine Training for Mental Health Practitioners
A six-day professional retreat in Costa Rica combining clinical education with a personal self-mastery experience.
Places cannot be booked directly. Every participant completes a consultation and a medical screening before a place is confirmed.
Your clients are already asking about this.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy has moved from the margins into your consulting room. Clients arrive having read the research, having booked a retreat abroad, or having already been. They ask what you think, and the honest answer is often that your training never covered it.
Reading the literature gets you part of the way. What it cannot give you is the experiential understanding that lets you prepare someone properly, recognise what they are describing afterwards, and hold the integration work that determines whether any of it lasts.
- Clients disclosing psychedelic use you weren't trained to assess
- Referral requests you have no framework for evaluating
- Uncertainty about preparation, screening, and contraindications
- Integration work arriving in your practice without a map
- A gap between the research you've read and the experience you've had
- Wanting your own self-mastery work, not only professional knowledge

What This Retreat Is — and Isn't
You will assess this the way you assess any professional training: what it covers, who delivers it, and what it entitles you to claim afterwards.
Education and experience together
The programme combines taught content on iboga and ibogaine-assisted therapy, screening, preparation and integration with a personal self-mastery experience under supervision.
Not a certification or licence
This retreat is professional development, not an accreditation. It does not license or certify you to administer iboga or ibogaine, and it does not extend your scope of practice.
A peer cohort
You will be among psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychotherapists, coaches and addiction professionals — colleagues working through the same questions from adjacent disciplines.
The same process as any participant
Attending as a professional does not change the process. Your own consultation and screening are completed before a place is confirmed, on the same basis as everyone else.
The personal component involves the medicine itself, so your own health history and medications are discussed on the consultation call as they would be for any participant. Learn more about the medicine.
Who This Retreat Is For
If you are weighing this against other professional training, bring those questions to the consultation. A straight comparison serves you better than a brochure.
